By now most of you have heard the whining from the RIAA about the devastating effects of consumer piracy on its bottom line.
Whether you sympathize or not, here’s an interesting little essay on “Donny’s Blog” (anyone know anything more about this guy? we couldn’t find much) that helps put it all in perspective.
Wrap your head around this: The music industry would have you believe that one month’s worth of illegal downloads is costing them more than the GDP of France.
The RIAA has also been keeping busy suing XM Satellite Radio over claims that the service infringes on artist copyrights and has essentially turned the radio station into nothing more than a download service.
