Reprise Media: Movin’ On Up

Last week our blog got a new look, and this week Reprise Media itself moves uptown to a shinier new address - that’s the top of our new building on the left, scraping the beautiful blue sky. Here’s the bottom of our new home here (sorry, our camera isn’t big enough to get the whole thing in one shot). For the sake of comparison, here are our old digs (on a cobblestoned TriBeCa street), complete with what looks like an antique delivery truck for scale.
The views from the insides are even more different than those from the outsides. Check out the scenes from our new windows: here’s what we see looking west; this is our downtown panorama (please excuse the strange glare coming through the window - we understand it is emanating from an object called ‘the sun,’ which was somewhat more difficult to see from our former space); finally, here is the uptown skyline, overlooking the set of King Kong.
Of course, there are things about our old stomping grounds we’ll miss; Reprise grew up there, after all. The old view, however, is probably not going to be one of those things. Here’s a few looks at the old neighborhood, taken just before we cleared out. Ah, who’re we kidding? We’ll probably always have a soft spot for the old place. But as Reprise grows, so grows our office. Onward and upward!
