Sleep safe tonight, dear children. Paris Hilton’s hacker has been caught.
The 17 year old whiz-kid who hacked the Hilton sister’s mobile phone has been slapped with 11 months in juvie, according to a statement released by the Massachusetts District Attorney.
A number of celebs had their numbers stolen as a result of the hack, including Anna Kournikova and Eminem. The Hilton hack is part of a series of crimes allegedly committed by the youth, including hacking into ISP and phone providers and bomb threats to schools in Massachusetts and Florida. Total damages are estimated at $1 million.
Part of the sentence includes a complete ban on all internet activity for the next 2 years. This includes any device capable of access the internet - mobile or otherwise, which critics are saying is perhaps too harsh.
