Google: “To the Moon!”

Thirty six years today Neil Armstrong became the first man to set foot on the moon.
In honor of the event, Google has launched Google Moon, which incorporates NASA imagery into its Google Maps product.
Don’t go looking for little green men just yet. As this page on Google explains, the surface is limited to what NASA provides (i.e., not too much). Even still, it’s fun to see what happens when you zoom all the way in. (Try it!)
Read the backstory on the Google Employee Blog and check out one of the all-too-predictable “It was all a hoax!” stories that appear this time every year. Word is a new high-powered camera called the ‘LROC’ will soon be proving them wrong, giving us a look at all the refuse we left behind from the mission.
